Differential Shaft Spares

Antech offers a wide range of spares for their Differential Air Shafts, as well as those of their competitors. If you’re unsure, please contact us for advice.

Ring Spacers

A wide range of PTFE & Acetal spacers, used between the individual friction rings, are available. Diameters and lengths of these rings are dependent upon the application and the base shafts diameter.

Torque Strips – Felt

The pneumatic torque control of our differential shafts is achieved by means of braking/torque strips that transmit the pressure generated beneath them by the lay flat tube to the inner diameter surfaces of the friction rings. These strips are available in various materials depending on the torque characteristics required by the application, two of which are shown in the illustrations opposite.

Part No. Width (mm) Thickness (mm) Length
RHN/16/3 16.0mm 3.0mm Per Metre
RHN/15/3 15.0mm 3.0mm Per Metre
RHN/10/6 10.0mm 6.0mm Per Metre
The above are generally stock items other sizes are available on request

Polyzene Differential Torque Strips

Torque Strips – Polyzene

Our Polyzene torque strips are profiled to suit the inside diameter of the friction rings. Standard stock width is 15.0mm. Please contact us if you require other sizes.

Lay flat Hose Clamp

These steel clamps are used to provide seals on both the air inlet (together with the air button) and non-air inlet ends of the lay flat tubes that sit beneath the torque strips

Brass Air Inlet Button

Brass Air Button

These air buttons are fitted to the inside of the Lay flat tubes on the air inlet side of the shaft and sealed by means of the clamps.

Layflat Hose

The lay flat hose sits in the grooves of the base shaft and sealed at both ends allows a varying air pressure to be applied to the torque strips allowing the torque applied to friction rings to be adjusted.
