Differential Rewind Friction Shafts available in large range of sizes

We can now offer High quality Differential Rewind Friction Shafts at very competitive prices. Our differential shafts are suitable for both wide and narrow web applications so are suitable for multiple width rolls and materials, on the same shaft. Utilising internal slippage there is no core dust or side to side movement as the core is gripped utilising the mechanical core chucks, Our Differential Shafts are available to suit a range of core sizes from 2 inches to 12 inches, in a range of widths, allowing the winding of web widths as narrow as 10mm. Alongside the differential shafts, we are also able to supply Friction Rings as replacements for existing shafts or as part of new build for OEM”s & Machine Refurbishers.

Boschert supply range of Motorised Safety Chucks

Boschert_motorBoschert have added a motorised version of their highly successful range of sidelay safety Chucks. The obvious benefits of improved web control and improved operator safety has been quickly realised by several of our customers now being supplied. The conventional setup, with one chuck of a pair having a manually operated side lay adjustment hand wheel is now replaced by a small gear motor. This enables remote adjustment and web alignment either manually or automatically, dependent on available systems or customer preference. Innovative Pillow Block Web Tension Bearing from Haehne

Haehne_Pillow_BlockAs UK agents for HAEHNE, Rimor Converting are pleased to offer an additional product to the comprehensive range of Tension Control & Tension measuring equipment that we supply. HAEHNE has integrated a tension measuring function into the inner bearing component of the Pillow Block. The Pillow block contains a double beam technology system with the well-known advantages of a high accuracy and linearity. The Pillow Block Web Tension Bearing BZL is compatible with common Pedestal bearings INA/FAG (PASE12/15/17) and NTN/SNR (UC201/202/203). The range is available in both horizontal and vertical measuring direction and covers the nominal forces of 100, 200, 500 and 1000N and with an accuracy of over 0.5%.

Economically priced Ball lock Differential Friction Rings for Differential Shafts

Rimor Differential_Rings-SmallConverting now offer economically priced ball lock differential friction rings to suit a range of core sizes from 2” to 12”, in a range of widths, allowing the winding of web widths as narrow as 10mm. The range of rings are used on our range of Differential Shafts, for slit differential winding which can be supplied alongside our tension control systems utilising either load cell or Ultrasonic measurement supplied by our partners Boschert & Haehne. We also offer a range of economical Mechanical shafts and chucks utilising a similar system to provide an Airless solution for roll winding & unwinding

New Ultra-Lightweight Extruded Air Shaft

Lightweight_Air-ShaftFollowing the continued success of Rimor’s 3” Ultra-Lightweight Extruded Airshaft, Rimor have released a new design, the 2009 Series. Compared to its predecessor, the re-designed extrusion improves rigidity whilst also reducing the overall shaft weight by utilising our latest journal design. A typical 1000mm long 2003 Series Airshaft would amass to 8.3kg, however, the new 2009 Series Airshaft would weigh in at 6.6kg, providing a weight reduction of over 20%! The 2009 Series 3” Ultra-Lightweight Airshaft is particularly useful in the packaging industry where the reduced shaft weight allows heavier reels to be used thus extending time between changeovers. The high strength design also reduces the need for expensive Carbon Fibre Airshafts in certain applications. The new design compliments our range of Lightweight Con-Ex Extruded Airshafts suitable for 3”, 4” and 6” ID cores.

Tension Control System Installed by Rimor Converting

Tension_ControlOur retro fit Tension Control Systems are already proving a great hit with our customers. We have recently installed the latest which combines our control system with Haehne”s BZA Load sensors. The system employs a closed feedback loop and allows simple set point set up and live read out of actual web tension. Although this particular system, provides variable air pressure supply to the tensioning brake, the system is equally capable of motor control. Although this system as shown had been designed with a manual operator interface, the system is also capable of PLC interface providing either set point input, control output or both.
